Pirates are not just something of the past guys, in fact their is still piracy today. Many modern day pirates operate off of the coast of Africa and this article tells just one small story. Students at Goede Hoop School in South Africa started a band that pays homage to their Zulu backgrounds. These students do not have much of a connection with the past, however they are trying to bring back history through music. Check out the article and video in the following link.
Polish Explorer, Krzysztof Starnawski’s began searching a cave in the Czech Republic in 1999, and continues to do so today. After continuing to discover more passages in the cave, Stanawski and come to terms that it is the biggest underwater cave in the world and easily bigger then a skyscraper.
